PM Mickoski: AI is a technology of the present, Macedonia should be an active participant

Artificial intelligence is no longer a technology of the future, but a technology of the present and the real question today is what role we will play in this transformation, Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said Friday.

In his address at the Startup Revolution AI Summit in Skopje, the PM said that Macedonia should not be a mere observer of the new technological revolution but an active participant in it.

“Artificial intelligence is no longer a technology of the future, something we discuss while trying to predict how it might one day impact our lives. It is a technology of the present that is already transforming the way we work, learn, communicate, manufacture, provide healthcare, conduct research, and build companies. Therefore, the question is no longer whether artificial intelligence will change our economies and societies; that is already happening. The real question is what role we will play in this transformation,” Mickoski noted in his address.

The PM urged entrepreneurs and business owners not to let the size of the domestic market dictate the scope of their ambitions.
