PM Mickoski: U.S. military assistance remains, cooperation to deepen

The military assistance Macedonia receives from the United States remains unchanged, and defense cooperation between the two countries will continue to deepen, Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said in an interview with MIA during his stay in Washington.

Responding to a question regarding the decision to reduce a portion of US military aid to four European nations, including Macedonia, Mickoski notes that the country is one of the largest recipients of U.S. military assistance.

“This decision stems from a different motive, which I would not discuss at this time. However, our cooperation within the military industry and the aid we receive from the US remain and will continue to deepen,” the Prime Minister stressed.

PM Mickoski assesses that the strategic partnership between Macedonia and the U.S. remains stable, both as part of NATO and in the areas of security, economy, and investments.
