Three fatalities, seven injuries in two traffic accidents

Three fatalities and seven injuries is the toll from two separate, serious traffic accidents that occurred on Saturday evening within a span of just over three hours, one on the Bitola–Prilep road and the other on the Kumanovo–Skopje motorway. Among the deceased is a 17-year-old girl, while the injured include a seven-year-old child.

The first accident was reported at 6:29 PM on the Bitola–Prilep road, near the location known as Tulana. It involved an Opel car with Bitola license plates, driven by E.F. (28) from the village of Kanatlarci (near Prilep), and a Ford vehicle, also with Bitola plates, driven by M.N. (48) from Dolno Srpci, in the Municipality of Mogila.

A 17-year-old girl, who was a passenger in the Opel, died at the scene. Her death was confirmed by a doctor from the Bitola Emergency Medical Service.

The 28-year-old driver of the Opel, a 44-year-old female passenger, and a seven-year-old child—who was traveling in the Ford—sustained serious injuries. The 48-year-old driver of the Ford was also injured. Their injuries were diagnosed at the Clinical Hospital in Bitola. A little over three hours later, around 9:35 PM, a second serious accident was reported to the Kumanovo Department of Internal Affairs. The collision occurred on the Kumanovo–Skopje motorway, in the direction of Skopje, near Agino Selo.

The accident involved a Mercedes with Skopje license plates and an Opel Corsa, also with Skopje plates, driven by S.N. (27) from Skopje.

Two passengers from the Opel Corsa, aged 49 and 71, both from Skopje, died at the scene. A 48-year-old female passenger sustained serious injuries, while a 28-year-old individual and the 27-year-old driver of the Opel vehicle were also injured.
