Hundreds of people started a memorial march from Skopje's village of Laskarci at
around 6am this morning, where a severe traffic accident a year ago killed 16 and
injured 35. Prior to the march, lanterns (candle-lit balloons) were opened to pay
tribute to those killed.
The Civic March Initiative was initiated by a group of climbers and supported by the
Municipality of Gostivar. The route would be 55 kilometers long.

The march is scheduled to end on the town square in Gostivar. On February 13,
2019, on the Skopje-Tetovo highway, a bus from the Durmo Tours Company
crashed, carrying passengers on a regular route from Skopje to Gostivar.
