Export of goods in 2018 increased by 21.8 percent compared to 2017, according to the State Statistical Office.
According to the published data, the total value of the export of goods from the Republic of Macedonia is 6,921,536 thousand US dollars.
The value of the imported goods in the same period amounted to 9.057.264 thousand US dollars, which is 17.2 percent more than the same period of the previous year. The trade deficit in the period January – December 2018 was USD 2,135,728 thousand.
Import coverage by export in the period January – December 2018 was 76.5%.
According to the total volume of foreign trade, we mostly traded with Germany, Greece, Great Britain, Serbia and Bulgaria.
