According to Atanasov, for the first time, small farms, which have an arable land of 0.2 to 1 ha, receive subsidies.

“The accounts of 1,447 farmers who have small farms these days lie in the amount of 11.3 million denars. The financial support for all farmers with production capacities from 0.2 to 0.5 hectares is 6,000 denars per agricultural holding, and users with production capacities from 0.5 to maximum 1 hectare receive 12,000 denars per agricultural holding,” Atanasov said.

In the past, the government allegedly paid subsidies to farmers, gardeners, growers and orchards, sheep and cattle breeders.
