VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski reported that the government was facing a financial crisis and before the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, a budget deficit of 70 million euros was made in the first two months.

During that time, a new borrowing of 250 million euros was made to cover electoral corruption.

On the other hand, one of the austerity measures proposed by the president of SDSM, Zoran Zaev, is linear reduction of the salaries of the employees in the public sector and they amount to 14,500 denars. This measure has received fierce reactions from both the citizens and all relevant trade unions, as well as almost all other political parties.

Minister of Information Society and Administration Damjan Mancevski even questioned the payment of the salaries of the administrators, referring to the moment of solidarity in the crisis.

The alarming state of the budget, which the government claimed to be in good shape just two weeks ago, is in liquidity and servicing needs, in addition to the opposition, now even SDSM leader and former deputy prime minister for economic affairs Koco Angjusev, say that there is still a budget gap of 2 billion euros and maybe there will be no salaries in the public sector?!
