The recommendation that we sent two weeks ago to energy companies, as well as
public utilities providers to refrain from excluding citizens from appropriate electricity,
heat and water supply systems, due to unpaid bills during the state of emergency
due to the Covid-19 pandemic, stays in force, informs the Energy and Water
Services Regulatory Commission (ERC).
– Basically, with this notification I want to inform the citizens to be sure that there will
be no electricity, heating and water disconnection while the state of emergency is in
force. At the same time, I would like to express my gratitude to the companies and
public enterprises whose operations are under the responsibility of ERC who
responded positively to the recommendation and during this period showed solidarity
and social responsibility to consumers, said Marko Bislimoski, President of ERC.
