The decision to continue the state of emergency is up to President Stevo
Pendarovski, and the government is still analyzing whether there will be a need for
its continuation, Prime Minister Oliver Spasovski said Wednesday.
– We are still analyzing whether there will be a need to continue the state of
emergency. Until the end of the current one, we will have the analysis and we will
know if we should ask for an extension of the state of emergency – said Spasovski.
He added that after the president's decision, all election activities will have to
continue.
– It will have to be done according to the regulation which stipulates that the elections
should continue within one month from the decision to end the state of emergency.
