VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski at a press conference called on President Pendarovski to extend the state of emergency and to provide protocols for the elections.

Mickoski assessed that the first possible date for the elections is mid-July. He urged SDSM leader Zoran Zaev not to push for elections.

He said mid-July was the time for protocols to be drafted, observed by an OSCE/ODIHR mission.

July 5th and July 8th are not an option for VMRO-DPMNE, Mickoski said.

What the OSCE/ODIHR mission has been asked of is evaluators, not observers, because they cannot arrive on time for 5 July.
