Member of the Executive Committee of the opposition VMRO-DPMNE Vladimir Gjorchev warned that Macedonia is experiencing the biggest recession in the last 30 years, and that it is not only the corona crisis that is to blame, but also the “total incompetence” of the government.
“We entered this crisis with two ministers who both have five months of experience in economy – Mila Carovska and Nina Angelovska. Carovska is an intern in the government, first she was in charge of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, then half of our country moved out, and now there is chaos in education, so the school year started with a delay. Imagine, the school year surprised them. There are no textbooks for children in schools. Thousands of children do not attend classes, they have no computers. We, VMRO-DPMNE, ten years ago implemented the project “Computer for every child,” said Gjorchev.
