Bulgaria insists on offensive positions towards Macedonia because they know that they can gain a lot with Zaev

In last night’s debate show on TV Klan, VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski spoke about current political topics, the treaty with neighboring Bulgaria, as well as the current health situation in the country and the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Mickoski, Bulgaria and the team negotiating on historical issues are putting pressure on some demands because they feel and know that Macedonia will never again have a prime minister like Zoran Zaev, who not only does not have patriotic feelings, but sells everything out just to hold on to his position and avoid responsibility.

“Bulgarian diplomats know the truth about the history of Macedonia and Bulgaria. We can agree that we have certain moments in common, but we can never say that we have the same history. We have our Macedonian, and they have theirs. But, when we have a representative like Zoran Zaev and a few others like him, it is clear why Bulgaria wants us to recognize something that is neither logical nor true. The Macedonian identity is weak and humiliated like never before, but it will all come to an end, and Zaev will be held responsible for that. I am telling you that much”, says Mickoski.
