Lake Prespa water level drops 50 centimeters below the absolute minimum

The water level of Lake Prespa has dropped one centimeter compared to Tuesday and is 1.52 meters lower than the multi-year average for December, which is 50 centimeters below the absolute minimum, according to the latest measurements made by the Hydrometeorological Administration (HMA).

The water level of Lake Ohrid is lower than the average by 23 centimeters and is one centimeter below the allowed minimum, while the level of Lake Dojran is 2.64 meters higher than the average.

Lower than average for this period of the year are the water levels of almost all rivers in the country and in most of them today the level is lower than Tuesday. The exception is the river Pchinja where the water level is higher than the average at both measuring points.
