Orthodox Christians celebrate the Birth of Jesus Christ – Christmas

Orthodox Christians in Macedonia are celebrating Thursday the Birth of Jesus Christ – Christmas.

Orthodox Christmas is celebrated for three days. The Christmas morning begins with the ringing of the church tolls from all the Orthodox churches and temples at dawn, the faithful dress their best clothes and visit  their church for the Christmas liturgy.

People congratulate and greet each other with the words “Christ is Born! Indeed He is Born. “
