The tap water in Struga has been banned for drinking. Polluted water flows from the residents’ taps for eight days, a problem that has been going on for years, in certain periods they lack water, at times it is of dubious quality and smell, and now due to the heavy rain that has affected the Struga region in recent days, the water comes out muddy.

The Public Enterprise Water Supply and Sewerage says that one of the reasons for this situation is the poor hydrological condition but also the construction of small hydropower plants at the springs near Gorna Belica.
