9 patients die, 721 new COVID-19 cases

Out of 3,323 COVID-19 tests carried out in Macedonia in the past 24 hours, 721 new cases were registered, 1,753 patients recovered and 9 died, the Health Ministry said on Thursday.  Most of the new cases were registered in Skopje – 357, followed by Prilep – 72, Kavadarci – 42, Gevgelija – 42, Negotino – 30, Ohrid – 26, Veles – 20, Gostivar – 18, Kumanovo – 17, Bitola – 16, Kochani – 12, Krushevo – 10, Struga – 8, Shtip – 7, Bogdanci – 7, Kriva Palanka – 5, Kichevo – 4, Resen – 4, Valandovo – 4, Tetovo – 3, Vinica – 3, Strumica – 2, Delchevo – 2, Demir Kapija – 2, Pehchevo – 2, and Sveti Nikole, Radovish, Probishtip, Kratovo, Makedonska Kamenica and Dojran one case each.

Nine people died, including three from Skopje (aged 85, 80, and 69), two from Kumanovo (81 and 74), one from Prilep (75), one from Veles (73), one from Kriva Palanka (73), and one from Valandovo (71).

The Public Health Institute registered 1,753 recovered patients from all over the country,

Since the outbreak of the epidemic, Macedonia has registered 105,269 confirmed coronavirus cases, while 93,942 people have recovered. The death toll stands at 3,165. At the moment, there are 8,162 active cases across the country.
