The VMRO-DPMNE parliamentary group withdrew the amendments to the Law on Citizenship and called on the Alliance for Albanians and Alternativa to withdraw the amendments to the fifth set of economic measures. The coordinator of the parliamentary group Nikola Micevski said at a press conference that there is no end to the politicking and hypocritical games of Zaev and SDSM at the expense of citizens and the economy, and that the adoption of a new law on citizenship will take some time.

“We, VMRO-DPMNE MPs, will withdraw all amendments to the citizenship bill so as to allow the fifth stimulus package to be adopted, which helps provide aid to the citizens and the economy,” stated VMRO-DPMNE coordinator Nikola Micevski.

He called on the parliamentary majority to enable the stimulus bills to be passed in the two committees before the package is forwarded at a plenary session for a vote by the end of the day or tomorrow at the latest.
