The seventh grade textbooks, as well as the issue of the character and work of GoceDelchev are the topics discussed by historians today at the 13th meeting of the Joint Multidisciplinary Expert Commission on Historical and Educational Issues between Macedonia and Bulgaria, which is held online.

The commission had previously met in late February, when the foreign ministry said no progress had been made at the 12th meeting in discussing history textbooks or agreeing on issues related to the Middle Ages.

After the meeting, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement saying that the agenda included issues related to the content of the Minutes of the 10th meeting, preparation of recommendations for history textbooks in order to overcome disputes arising from different and strongly politicized interpretations of the past and harmonization of text recommendation for joint commemoration of GoceDelchev. However, the Commission at that time did not open the issue of GoceDelchev and his eventual joint commemoration.
