I absolutely think it is useful to develop scientific cooperation, because science is what should unite the people, not only in the Balkans but in the whole of Europe, and for the best to move forward. But what worries me is the way this is done, for the simple reason that out of all the universities in Bulgaria, this university has been chosen, which has the same name as the largest university in Macedonia “St. Cyril and Methodius”, said VMRO-DPMNE Vice President Aleksandar Nikoloski.
“Let me ask if Zoran Zaev and the Government think that they would allow a branch of the University of Bitola to be opened in Sofia, which is called” St. Kliment Ohridski “and has the same name as the largest university in Bulgaria. I think the Bulgarians would not even think of allowing such a thing, let alone doing it,” Nikoloski said.
