In an interview with the Serbian Kurir media outlet, Macedonian Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, when asked if he is afraid of “Greater Albania” which includes part of Macedonia, the Prime Minister said:

“I can never say ‘no’ with certainty, but it would be difficult in Macedonia because we are a NATO member and with every threat to our territory and integrity, Article 5 of the NATO Agreement would be activated, which would protect us – all for one, one for all. However, I cannot finally say “no” because you definitely do not know how much someone can provoke it. That is why the solution is for each country to join the EU. “When we reach the Schengen conditions, then there are no borders,” said Zaev.
