Cost of living up by 3,4 percent in just one year

The Consumer Price Index in July 2021, in comparison with June 2021, increased by 0.5%, while the Retail Price Index increased by 2.3%, State Statistical Office data shows.

Moreover, the Consumer Price Index in July 2021, in comparison with July 2020, increased by 3.4%, while the Retail Price Index increased by 5.4%.

An increase in the Consumer Price Index in July 2021, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in cigarettes by 0.9%, milk by 0.8%, fresh or chilled fruit, food products n.e.c. by 0.5%, bread and cereals by 0.4%, beer by 0.3%.

In July, there was also an increase in the indices of passenger transport by air by 49.9%, gas for households by 8.4%, fuels and lubricants for personal transport equipment by 5.0%, liquid fuels for household by 4.7%, package holidays by 3.4%, accommodation services by 2.2%, etc.
