316 new COVID-19 cases, 10 deaths – the youngest aged 32

Of the 3,486 people tested for the coronavirus over the past 24 hours, 316 were diagnosed with covid-19. Ten people, aged 32 to 88, died from the illness, the Ministry of Health said Sunday.

Of the new cases, 140 were diagnosed in Skopje. New cases were also recorded in Kumanovo – 38, Veles and Shtip – 19 each, Kavadarci – 16, Prilep and Ohrid – 12 each, Strumica – 11, Bitola – 8, Probishtip – 6, Tetovo and Sveti Nikole – 5 each, Negotino and Kriva Palanka – 4 each, Struga and Kratovo – 3 each, Kichevo, Kochani and Gevgelija – 2 each, Radovish, Vinica, Krushevo, Demir Hisar and Makedonska Kamenica – 1 each.

In the past 24 hours, 240 people recovered from the virus.

In the past 24 hours, ten people died from coronavirus-related complications.

Three people died in Kumanovo (aged 32, 72, and 77), two people died in Ohrid (aged 59 and 64) and Sveti Nikole (aged 66 and 68), and one person died in Kriva Palanka (aged 88), in Berovo (aged 74), and in Skopje (aged 69). All of them died in hospital.

Additionally, four deaths between Sept. 13 and Sept. 17 were reported as covid-related. They were people aged 46 to 68 from Gostivar, Kumanovo, and Resen. All of them died in hospital.

At the moment, 7,029 cases are active nationwide.
