Macedonia ranks third in the world in COVID-19 mortality

With yesterday’s registered 11 + 3 deaths, or a total of 14, the coronavirus death toll in Macedonia has exceeded 7000 people.

As of Thursday, 7,012 people had died from COVID-19 since the onset of the pandemic.

The number of cases, on the other hand, is approaching 200 thousand, i.e. there are currently 198,646 reported cases. There are currently 5,974 active cases nationwide.

According to the global COVID-19 site Worldometers, the country is third in the world in the number of deaths from COVID-19 per 1 million inhabitants, or 3,366 per one million inhabitants. The country that ranked first is Peru with 5,956 per 1 million inhabitants, and the second ranked is BiH with 3,467.
