349 new COVID-19 cases, 12 deaths

Of the 2,754 people tested for the coronavirus over the past 24 hours, 349 were diagnosed with covid-19, and ten people, aged 43 to 85, died from covid-related complications, the Ministry of Health said in a press release on Sunday.

In the past 24 hours, 208 people recovered from the virus and 12 people died from coronavirus-related complications.

Three people died in Skopje (aged 51, 64, and 85), two died in Shtip (aged 64 and 75), two died in Sveti Nikole (aged 66 and 82), one person died in Kumanovo (aged 43), one person died in Bitola (aged 60), one person died in Radovish (aged 75), one person died in Strumica (aged 68) and one person died in Dojran (aged 62). All of them died in hospital.

At the moment, 6,880 cases are active nationwide, of which 3,413 in Skopje.

Since the onset of the epidemic, N. Macedonia has performed a total of 1,385,429 tests, recording 202,552 covid-19 cases and 188,540 recoveries. The death toll has reached 7,132.
