Over 40,000 SDSM members vote for new party leader – 78.5 percent by 6pm


One hour before the closing of the polls, 40,220 members, i.e. 78.5 percent of the actively registered voters, voted in the early elections for president of SDSM.

Voting was conducted in a peaceful and democratic manner in all 194 polling stations in all 80 municipalities.

SDSM elects a president in front of the whole Macedonian public.

After the closing of the polling stations at 19.00 and after the processing of the data, the Central Election Commission will announce the results of the extraordinary intra-party elections for SDSM leader.

By conducting direct intra-party elections, SDSM sets the highest standards in Macedonian democracy.
