The Ohrid bazaar cannot be closed on Sundays. During winter, tourists do not come to Ohrid on Tuesday, but on Sunday. I think it will not contribute in a positive way. Soon after this it will be seen that there are no effects and the law will be withdrawn,” said President of the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia Branko Azeski in an interview with VOA.

“I do not think it will contribute in a positive way. Soon after this, it will be seen that there are no effects to the law and it will be withdrawn,” said Azeski, asked about the position of the Economic Chamber on declaring Sunday a non-working day.

According to Azeski, the chamber had always had a negative attitude on this issue.

“Although the Government tried to maneuver to exclude certain categories, we consider it a market category and should treat all market categories that way. I think the Government did not want to hear this to the end. It was determined to do this, I do not know for what reasons. And I do not think it will contribute positively. Soon after this the Government will see that there are no effects and the law will be withdrawn,” Azeski said.
