Macedonia is in the middle of a huge economic crisis due to the bad, wrong and untimely measures of Kovachevski’s government, said Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska from the ranks of VMRO-DPMNE at Sunday’s press briefing.
“According to the latest data from the Statistical Office, the citizens are facing inflation of 6.7%. Such inflation eats and exceeds the annual growth rate of the average wage, which means that the standard of living is not only not rising, but also falling. Citizens face more expensive products and the cost of living. Fuels for a short period increased by about 70%, electricity by 30%, and basic groceries, oil, bread and milk are on average more expensive by 30 percent. With the same salaries and pensions, fewer and fewer products are bought. The government should urgently take measures to deal with this situation, especially if we take into account the current geopolitical situation and how it will affect energy,” said Dimitrieska-Kochoska.
