This definitely violates the living standard of the citizens, but it is also worrying that these costs will spill over to the final products we use, primarily food. Such situations were expected given what is happening in Russia and Ukraine, the question is why the government in the past period did not take concrete measures or took something wrong, said VMRO-DPMNE Vice President Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska in an interview with TV Sitel News.

“The situation will become more dramatic and it is no coincidence that one of the proposals made by VMRO-DPMNE was to reduce the excise tax on oil and oil derivatives by 50%. Every economist could have predicted this and seen that such a situation would occur. In such conditions, the government should have considered how to protect the citizens,” said Dimitrieska-Kochoska.
