Preparations for starting the process of lindane cleaning from the OHIS landfill approach final phase

The preparatory activities for starting the process of cleaning the small landfill with lindane in OHIS have been completed.

700 tons of toxic waste and 900 tons of contaminated soil will be cleaned starting next week.

Nine million euros have been set aside for this operation, part of which has been provided by the European Union.

Ambassador Geer believes that due to the war in Ukraine and the pandemic in Europe, Europe is facing economic difficulties, but the priorities for environmental protection must not be put aside.
