The Government must accept a general increase in salaries, growth is needed in both education and healthcare, says the opposition VMRO-DPMNE in a press release.
“Today we have a situation where a faculty assistant works for 23,000 denars, he should have a Master’s degree and a PHD. Primary and secondary school teachers work for the same salaries. The government should accept the proposal of VMRO-DPMNE and harmonize with the Collective Agreement, so that teachers will receive salaries of up to 45 thousand denars. Wage growth is also needed in healthcare. Due to low salaries, more and more young doctors are leaving the country. An increase in wages is also necessary due to the rising cost of living. The prices of basic products such as bread, flour, milk, oil, fuel, etc. have increased by over 70%, and at the same time there is no increase in wages,” says VMRO-DPMNE.
