We cannot constantly be held hostage at European Union summits on whether there will be a date or not. Warming up expectations as it was in the past for what will happen at a summit does not depend on North Macedonia. It solely depends on whether the 27 members agree and decide to start the first intergovernmental conference. It currently depends on only one EU member state holding two member states, two candidates – North Macedonia and Albania on the road to integration into the Union, said Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski in response to a media question at a joint press conference with Germany’s Chancellor Olaf Scholz, who paid an official visit to the country.
