Campaign of the Ministry of Interior and RCRTS: “Wear a helmet, drive safely!” reduced the number of traffic victims

Last year, 2021, is the year with the lowest number of victims in traffic in the last 15 years, and the data from the first four months in 2022 show that this year the trend of significant reduction in the number of victims in traffic accidents continues.

“Today in Ohrid started the new preventive campaign aimed primarily at drivers of motorcycles, bicycles and electric scooters “Wear a helmet, drive safely!”. RCRTS in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior and the Faculty of Security in Skopje are implementing the campaign for cyclists, moped riders and electric scooter drivers because in this time period the number of traffic participants as cyclists, moped riders and electric scooter drivers has increased. The aim of the campaign is for these vehicles to be properly marked, for the drivers to respect the rules and regulations and to wear a protective helmet, and for the drivers of the electric scooter to wear a reflective vest from the beginning of dusk to dawn,” said the Ministry of Interior and RCRTS.
