The Department for Computer Crime and Digital Forensics at the Bureau of Public Security within the Ministry of Internal Affairs informs the public about a frequent phenomenon observed in the past period, where unknown persons target Macedonian users via social media or through their private email addresses and send links to websites sites and services that promise easy earnings by completing certain tasks that are assigned on a daily basis by the service or application itself.
“The fraud is carried out in such a way that, after the persons register and leave their personal data, they receive a user profile through which they can purchase a certain package depending on the funds they are willing to initially invest through the purchase of subscription packages in cryptocurrencies,” informs the Ministry of the Interior.
