A Preliminary Court Judge accepted the proposal of The Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office (PPO) Skopje in connection with the case of Doctor Zhan Mitrev and made a decision to determine a precautionary measure to confiscate his travel document due to the risk of flight.
An investigative procedure is being conducted for him for reasonable suspicion that he has committed a crime – Fraud from Article 247 paragraph 4 in connection with paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.
The suspect, as announced by the Public Prosecutor’s Office, in the period from April 2020 to 2022, with the intention of a legal entity – a private health institution to obtain illegal property benefits, by falsely presenting facts, misled patients treated for COVID-19 with the method of hemofiltration
