Xhaferi should not dare to reject the Referendum initiative, to respect Art. 67 paragraph 1 and to allow its holding, said VMRO-DPMNE in a press release on Sunday.
“Pursuant to Article 67 paragraph 1 of the Law on Referendum, the Initiative is handed over to the President of the Assembly, as was done with this Initiative for calling a referendum with the purpose of terminating the validity of the Law on Ratification of the Treaty with Bulgaria.
We emphasize that the government has no legal basis to reject the request of VMRO-DPMNE”, said the opposition party.
