In 2023, citizens can expect stable prices for flour and bread, says the milling and baking industry. That, the millers stress, is a consequence, first of all, of the passing of the government decision, which allowed the companies to pay electricity at 80 euros per megawatt hour.
As the president of the Milling and Baking Industry Group Goran Malishikj told the media, the milling and baking industry is fighting all possible increased production costs by managing its own stocks at a basic minimum, in anticipation of reduced wheat prices, which as a condition would create opportunities for additional stabilization of prices and their reduction.
