Macedonian Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski, on behalf of the Government and in his own name, sent a Christmas greeting to the head of the Macedonian Orthodox Church – Ohrid Archdiocese, Archbishop of Ohrid and Macedonia, Archbishop Stefan, as well as to all Orthodox believers who celebrate the birth of Christ – Christmas, one of the greatest Christian holidays.
“In the spirit of today’s holiday, let’s remember its symbolism – to love, respect, forgive, help and lend a hand to those who need help. Only with kindness in our hearts and the desire for unity will we be able to overcome the various temptations we face,” Kovachevski said in the his holiday greeting message.
The Prime Minister reminded the significance of Christmas, which, as he says, is a holiday that unites, gathers and means unconditional love. Just as the holiday unites us all in the family home, let it unite us in all other spheres of life. Let us rejoice in today’s day, let us celebrate the news of Christ’s birth, with love and warmth in our hearts. With good thought and good deeds we can move forward and create a better tomorrow for all of us, added PM Kovachevski.
