The country leads by far in the statistics of prisoners who escaped from prison. In our country, 691 prisoners out of every 10,000 prisoners escaped from prison.
Right after N. Macedonia comes the Netherlands with 315 escapees per 10,000 prisoners, and Switzerland with 284.
It is interesting to note that some countries have not reported cases of prison escapes at all, among them Albania, Montenegro, Slovenia, Malta and Cyprus.
