The crime of Dimitar Kovachevski and Ali Ahmeti and the high government officials made Macedonia the most corrupt country, said opposition party VMRO-DPMNE in a press release on Thursday.
“Macedonia is at the bottom of Transparency International’s Corruption Perceptions Index, along with Suriname, India and Tunisia. According to Transparency International, out of 180 countries, Macedonia is in 85th place with 40 points on the scale where 0 indicates the most corrupt. Almost every day, new affairs and evidence of corruption scandals of the government come out. The fight against corruption exists only on paper,” the largest opposition party said.
