After the decision of the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) in Strasbourg on the applications of the convicted and accused in the cases opened by the former SPO, for which the former President Gjorge Ivanov first made a decision to pardon them, and then withdrew it, attorney Vlatko Ilievski in a statement for the”360 degrees” show says that he finds it incomprehensible that the ECtHR took a long time to decide that the application was premature.
“It is a bit incomprehensible to me why it took five and a half years for them to decide that the application is premature, that is, that the domestic legal remedies have not been exhausted,” Ilievski told “360 Degrees”.
When asked whether the convicted and accused will be able to submit applications to the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg again, Ilievski says that it is absolutely possible. But, as he adds, until that moment is reached, it will take a long time.
