In an interview with Fakulteti.mk, the Macedonian Minister of Education and Science, Jeton Shaqiri, discussed the issue with textbooks.
“All textbooks that are approved for use in primary education have been procured, printed and delivered to schools. The reactions were about the textbooks in the first, second, fourth and fifth grades, which are new, and it is true that there was a delay in their printing, because the process of preparation and approval is complex. But it has been overcome. We will soon start procedures for the selection of textbooks in foreign languages in primary education. At the same time, there will be printing of about 50 textbooks for secondary vocational education that have been approved by the National Commission for Textbooks and will be used for the first time this year,” said Shaqiri.
