A team of inspectors from the State Health and Sanitary Inspectorate at the PHI Clinical Hospital-Bitola are inspecting on Tuesday in order to determine the causes of the death of a newborn in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics in that hospital.
In connection with the case of the deceased newborn in the Bitola Clinical Hospital, we inform you that today the State Sanitary and Health Inspectorate is conducting an extraordinary inspection. The commission is out in the field and the supervision is in progress to determine the course of the treatment of the deceased newborn. At the same time, a commission for expert supervision was formed, consisting of two specialist gynecologists, a neonatologist, an anesthesiologist, as well as a representative from the Ministry of Health. The director of the Bitola Clinical Hospital, Dr. Aleksandar Obednikovski, submitted his irrevocable resignation to the Ministry this morning for moral reasons, the Ministry of Health has announced.
