Citizens will pay more expensive electricity, the Government announced the return of VAT from 10 to 18 percent?

Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Fatmir Bytyqi told Telma TV that the Value Added Tax (VAT) for electricity will be gradually increased.

“The analyzes are nearing the end, the VAT rate of 10 percent for electricity will gradually return to 18 percent,” Bytyqi said.

The deputy PM explained that ESM makes a proposal to EVN Home, and then the Regulatory Commission will make the final decision, which is expected at the end of June.
