Novak Djokovic goes down in tennis history with the victory over Casper Ruud (7:6, 6:3, 7:5) in his 34th Grand Slam tournament final. The Serbian tennis player reached a record 23rd title and now has one more than the biggest rival Rafael Nadal and three more than the retired Roger Federer.
Among tennis players, Serena Williams has 23 Grand Slam titles, and the record holder is Margaret Court with 24 titles. By the end of the year, Djokovic could overtake the legendary Australian tennis player with victories at Wimbledon and the US Open.
The Serbian tennis player is also the first player in history with at least seven finals at each of the Grand Slams. No other tennis player has managed to do it six times.
