Commercial banks in the country will no longer accept effective cash in Norwegian kroner (NOK) and Swedish kroner (SEK).
The reason for this is the severed links for the exchange of effective funds in these two currencies by commercial banks in Norway and Sweden due to increased caution regarding their anti-money laundering regulation, which has been officially notified by the central banks of these two countries , the Macedonian Banking Association (MBA) informs.
From there they add that the decision to stop cash trading in Norwegian and Swedish kroner by domestic commercial banks will not affect cashless turnover.
