Ohrid residents have until June 30 to report damages caused by Saturday’s hailstorm

The Municipality of Ohrid announced information to the citizens that the damage to their property caused as a result of Saturday’s storm can be reported by the 30th of this month.
The local government explains that citizens can file claims for damage reports in the archives of the Municipality of Ohrid, and the claim for compensation must be accompanied by a property deed and an identity card.
According to the information, damages can only be reported for real estate and agricultural crops.
A heavy storm, followed by intense rainfall and hail, hit Ohrid and the surrounding area on Saturday noon.
The storm also affected the neighboring municipality of Debrca, whose Mayor Zoran Nogaceski pointed out that the storm in an instant made all the trouble of the farmers irreparable. He called on the Government and the Ministry of Agriculture to provide funds from the intervention fund for agriculture to compensate farmers.
