The Holy Synod of Bishops of the Macedonian Orthodox Church-Ohrid Archdiocese (MOC-OA) is following with great concern the process of passing the Law on Gender Equality and the Law on Family Records.
On that occasion, the head of the Macedonian Orthodox Church-Ohrid Archdiocese Archbishop Stefan, through a video address, asked for support for the protest in front of the Cathedral on Thursday, June 29, against the adoption of the Law on Gender Equality and the Law on Civil Registry.
“Each of us, but also all of us together, have a sacred duty to continue and leave to the generations after us what we have received and inherited from our ancestors, both as a uniqueness and as a universal heritage and tradition. With that, we not only preserve the past, but also ensure the future as members of our people and the general human community. Defending and keeping those benefits with dignity, we will fulfill our obligations both to God and to our race,” said the head of the MOC-OA in his video address.
