The union of associations of Macedonians and refugee children from the Aegean part of Macedonia MACEDON this year marks the 75th anniversary of the exodus of Macedonians from the Aegean part of Macedonia during the Civil War in Greece 1946-1949.
The commemoration is within the framework of the Sixth World Meeting of refugee children and forcibly persecuted Macedonians from the Aegean part of Macedonia, which is held throughout the year 2023 at all events organized by all associations of Macedonians from the Aegean part of Macedonia, say the organizers of the event.
The celebration will be held on July 1, 2023 (Saturday) at 10 a.m. with the laying of flowers in front of the Monument to the refugee children in Woman Fighter Park across the street from the Parliament of North Macedonia and at 12 p.m. with the holding of the Academy at the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts – MANU.
