As long as I am the minister, there will be no more delays in purchases of medication, said the Minister of Health, Dr. FatmirMexhiti, at Friday’s meeting with representatives of the Union of Diabetic Associations of RNM.
“At the moment, the appeal procedures for the procurement of tapes are ongoing, a procedure that does not depend on the Ministry. If the second-level commission rejects the appeal, the contract for the supply of strips and glucometers for patients with type 1 and type 2 will be immediately approached,” Minister Mexhiti informed. He added that all procedures within the Ministry of Health were completed in the shortest possible time, and the procurement was supposed to start in December, by the previous management.
