VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski said Tuesday in Bitola that he does not expect the discussion on the constitutional amendments in the parliamentary Committee on Constitutional Issues to last around ten days, but he said he expects and “has a feeling” that it will end today.
“Forty-four MPs from VMRO-DPMNE and its coalition are clear and precise in their position. We held a coordination meeting yesterday with unanimous agreement that there won’t be any constitutional amendments under Bulgarian dictate,” said Mickoski.
Asked if the chance of manipulation of technicalities is possible at the plenary session, the VMRO-DPMNE leader said they have a strategy for that as well, even though, he said, they expect that the item is immediately placed on the agenda if the Government has 80 MPs.
“Those 10 MPs that voted in favor of constitutional amendments are the same people that sell EU values such as buying a property in the Skopje center for EUR 30 million, and also have 35-year-old friends with 30 years of business experience,” added the opposition leader.
